Matt is from San Diego in the USA. He currently lives in Malawi, Africa.
In addition to teaching at a college in Malawi, Matt photographs occasional projects around town.
His work has taken him to Eastern Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
Matt studied photography at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles where he received his Bachelors of Fine Arts.
He later received a Masters Degree in Global & Cross-Cultural Studies from Bethel University in San Diego, California.
In an age where the world is becoming increasingly homogenized, Matt is appreciative for any time that he, as an outsider, is invited into a community and allowed to participate in life.
